Secondly, the CNC milling machine has the functions of milling machine, boring machine and drilling machine, which makes the process highly concentrated and greatly improves the production efficiency. In addition, the spindle speed and feed speed of CNC milling machine are stepless, so it is helpful to select the best cutting parameters.


Calculation Method of Surface Velocity of End Milling Cutter

So how to calculate the surface speed of end milling cutter in the machining process of CNC milling machine?

1. Determine the radius of the drill bit. You can do this in one of two ways. First, the diameter of the end mill used in the caliper can be measured, and then divided by 2 to get the radius. For example, 5 mm divided by two produces a radius of two and a half millimeters. Alternatively, wrap the tape around a little to get its circumference, and then divide the quantity by twice the PI (3.14). For example, if the circumference is 12.56 mm, the radius is 2 mm.

2. Determines the angular velocity of the end mill in Hertz. If you have the RPM of angular velocity, then divide it by 60 to get hertz. For example, 600 rpm is 10 Hz.
